"Drink your tea slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the world revolves - slowly, evenly without rushing towards the future; live the actual moment.  Only this moment is life" Thich Nhat Hahn

Meditation

Meditation is a state of deep peace, a quietening of the mind, a reconnection with one's higher or divine self.  It is the allowing of the self to hear one's own silence through withdrawal of the senses.  When all thought is removed from the mind, only consciousness is left; this is when we can connect to our divinity, our inner knowing. A meditative state cannot be forced, rather it is facilitated and allowed.  From this feild of pure potentiality, inspiration, clarity and intuition can occur. It is our deepeset connection with ourselves and the universe as one.

Just as there are many ways to reach the same destination, different meditation techniques work for different people. Attending a meditation class can introduce different aspects of the same principle to enable you find something that works for you within the context of your daily demands.  Meditation is often thought of as being unattainable, exclusive and mystical, whereas it can be a simple, unobstrusive and pivotal in managing daily challenges, improving focus and raising consciousness, for more successful living.

Anything can be a meditation, if you are performing something and only that, mindfully and in full awareness.

Life is a meditation.  Live it consciously.

There is such a beauty in the silence, when you catch yourself watching yourself, and you smile right back...
